Well I just read a post satirizing Health Care and I am not amused. I understand that when life is good it is difficult to see the uproar about what this Government is proposing.
I have no clue what is on the news in Georgia or Alaska but, in the National news and C-SPAN, C-SPAN2 & 3, I see Congress debating where our tax dollars will go and it is NOT working America when it is Big business which have been deemed “Too big to fail” . The average Citizen is struggling in a recession and National unemployment kissing 10%. These people are not asking for anything but a job. There are angry folk who will relentlessly shout out a demand for themselves while voicing against the “Corporate Welfare System” some companies are receiving when they beg and demand help when they fly to D.C. in individual corporate jets–enemas. If you like jokes try one based on beggars traveling in a private Jet to ask for money.
The glory days of inner growth has come to a halt, 4 banks closed last week and NO NEWSPAPERS which prior to the Health Care Reform Scare were suffering, praying for their next advertiser or even the sale of a news printed the previous night. Meanwhile Congress is still deciding (although they are on recess) who they will gift and give and allow to see another day in the sun.
The Health Care Reform debate in the streets and the Congress are much hubris and has stirred up an undue amount of anger and apathy against a POTUS 44 who is working hard to fix all that has been broken (a noble cause) yet, he is not favored by the GOP and it appears that a party which is in shambles is still capable of disrupting the equilibrium of the voice of the everyday public with propaganda and decelerations of failure for the POTUS 44. This is the most vitriolic level of criticisms I have seen in my awareness of politics reaching back to Harry S Truman leaving the World to Eisenhower.
I am ashamed of my fellow citizens who refuse to accept a Democratic process in the Republic–there is a dearth of understanding with the general public in every issue POTUS44 introduces. There is no faith and based upon the fact that the Electoral College made up of members of Congress (gave him 365 votes McCain = 173) and the Popular vote = 69,456,897 based upon the belief in his ability to “Change things in D.C.”. Now the process of “Change” has become a war between party ideals and shouting matches from the unlearned, poorly read and vindictive.
Therefore; when you hear someone –a private citizen, demanding help from the Government rest assured that they are demanding what Congress is all to willing to give to Big Business. I feel their pain.
Thanks Spencer, and good to see you here.
Enjoyed the simple expressions of what I have grown to know as your marvelous mind.
Good stuff.
